Who was Horus?
Horus was a god of the sky, one of the many protectors of the Egyptian people. The ancient Egyptians had many different beliefs about the god Horus. One of the most common beliefs was that Horus was the son of Isis and Osiris.
After Osiris was assassinated by his brother Seth, Horus fought with Seth for the throne of Egypt.
In this battle, Horus lost one of his eyes. The eye was returned to him and became a symbol of protection for the ancient Egyptians. After this battle, Horus was chosen to be the ruler of the world of the living.
On the Stele of Merneptah there is an inscription of the ancient Egyptian king Merneptah (1213 – 1203 BC), we find the description of a battle led by the god Horus against the people of Metjen.
Could the diadem of the god Horus perhaps represent another of the phantom weapons with immense powers that are spoken of, for example, in Hindu texts?
“All foreign lands were united, standing prepared to fight as one. There were no deserters, relying on the numerous troops, with limitless people and horses.

The numerous army of Metjen was overthrown within an hour, as perished as those who have never been, […] in the manner of a consuming flame, as what the arms of the good god did, who is great of strength in battle, who carries out a massacre of everyone, his only leader, the king of Upper and Lower Egypt Menkheperre (may he live forever!).
He is Horus, with a powerful arm, a excellent fortress to his army, a refuge to the subjects,who attacks every land with infighting, who rescues Egypt on the battlefield, protector who does not fear the rapacious.”
Metjen’s large army was overthrown in a single hour, they all died as never other human beings died, […] in the same way that a consumed flame perishes, as did the army of the good Lord, who is very strong in battle, which brings massacre everywhere, he is the only commander, the king of upper Egypt and lower Menkheperre (may he live forever!).
He is Horus, with a mighty arm, an excellent fortress for his army, a refuge for people, he attacks every land in combat, he rescues Egypt on the battlefield, he is the protector who is not afraid of ‘greedy.”
